On July 9, 2009, About 35 MoveOn "Public Option" healthcare activists met in front of U.S. Sen. Kay Hagan's Office, to rally and present their petition on behalf of 1,500 citizens who signed on July 4th during the local FunFourth Festival.
Their rally was disrupted by a loud and unruly crowd of Republic Tea Party fanatics who were goaded on by a local extreme right-wing blogger who urged them to go and disrupt the party.
