The Sons of the Pioneers were the high-water mark in western harmony singing, and Elvis, Red, and Charlie would often warm up on the Pioneers "Cool Water" a recording of which doesn't survive, and "Tumblin' Tumbleweeds."

Hope you'll enjoy the video:)

  • Love this. Never heard it with Elvis. Beautiful... Was there a song that Elvis didn't sing or record?? He must have known literally thousands of songs from gospel to just about everything else.. lolol

  • This song was recorded in Hollywood at Elvis' residence at Rocca Place in early 1966 . The recording was probably made by Red West on his private potable reel-to-reel recorder under very informal conditions and was never meant for any publication . This version was released by BMG on the cd The Home Recorgings in 1999 .

  • There is not a song that this man could not sing and make it Golden. Miss you always....

  • Sometimes..there's a king..

  • Wow, thank you ! I've never heard this one by Elvis...and I've been a follower since '56.

  • Yeah....I discovered some of these home recordings a couple years ago. As a fan I was so cool to hear them. I always wonder if Elvis is rolling over in his grave thinking that these recordings that he probably didn't want a soul to ever hear are now public for everyone. But, then again his fans are getting enjoyment from them right so I think that would make him happy.

  • Never heard !!! Great !!!! TNX !!!

  • LOVE this, love elvis so much!! <3 he could anything!! <3

  • Elvis actually recorded "Old McDonald Had A Farm" everybody got screwed with Parker being his manager. The fact that Elvis never toured Europe because Parker couldn't get a passport.

  • They ruined this song,...in my opinion,of course! But then who am I? anever was?
