Is the $369.99 price tag worth it?

UPDATE: I have been using the W500 for almost 2 weeks and so far it has been working like a dream. I skinned the back to protect it from further scuffing. From the looks of it the back has been opened, but I have yet to investigate that further.

Meanwhile, I have tested it, first with Windows 8 Preview, and now with Ubuntu 11.10 Oneiric. I'll stay with Oneiric until the Windows Beta comes along.

A set of restore DVDs can be purchased on eBay for around $9.95. That's where I picked up mine.

Quick question...how loose is your screen lock near the docking port? mine seems kinda loose, but I might be paranoid.

My screen lock was not loose at all. But then I did not have another unit to compare to. My docking port did not seem to a refurb, though. It looked brand new out of the box.

did you get cheetahdeals extended service plan (offered through seneca)? I thought I saw a piece of paper in the video with the warranty info. If so, did you get 1 year or 2? Do you recommend or think it is worth it. Thanks and great videos!

I did not get an extended warranty. The paper you saw was just a standard form with info in the event I did pick up the warranty extension. I can't tell you what to do, but personally I do not think extended 3rd party warranties are ever worth it. Good luck!
