The Grammy Nominations are in - and we're revealing the highlights.

You've reached Clevver TV. Hey everybody! I'm Dana Ward with the 2010 Grammy Nom Recap.

K, guys. These are the Oscars of the music industry. And this year's Grammy Awards already have some major hype, just shortly after the nominations got revealed. An impressive 23 combined nominations got added up between Beyonce, Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift - all the single ladies followed by paparazzi are looking at that Grammy Award saying 'you belong with me'. Seriously, these 3 musicians have shown some serious female power with the other music awards shows through the year, but who will take the cake this most important round?

The Record of the Year category includes Beyonce's Halo, I Gotta Feeling for The Black Eyed Peas, Kings of Leon's Use Somebody, Poker Face for Lady Gaga and Taylor Swift's You Belong with Me. Then each of those track records - minus Kings of Leon and plus Dave Matthews Band - received a nom for Album of the Year. Added into the equation for Song of the Year, Maxwell's Pretty Wings amongst Use Somebody, Poker Face, Single Ladies and You Belong with Me.

Best New Artist is another big category with Zac Brown Band, Keri Hilson, MGMT, Silversun Pickups and The Ting Tings. Who do you think will win out of these noms? Then, of course, the Recording Academy further breaks down a bunch of musical genres: pop, dance, rock, alternative, r and b, rap, country, new age, jazz, gospel, Latin, American Roots, Reggae, World, Children's, Spoken Word, Comedy, etc. Basically, there's a category for every aspect of the music making industry. Many of the popular music genre categories then break down further into the bests album, the best female and male or individual performance as well as group collaboration.

Some of your fave musicians in the pop category include Adele, Katy Perry, Pink, John Legend, The Fray, Justin Timberlake. There's even Britney Spears, Madonna and LMFAO thrown into the dance sub-category. The Rock Nom list includes Prince, Bruce Springsteen, ACDC, Nickelback, Bob Dylan, Coldplay as well as Green Day, U2, Booker T. Jones Slayer and Metallica. Then we can mix it up with some Jamie Foxx, Jazmine Sullivan, T-Pain, Eminem, Drake, Jay-Z, Kid Cudi, Beastie Boys, T.I. and Kanye West. As far as country goes, the Grammys list includes Martina McBride, Carrie Underwood, Trace Adkins, Sugarland, Keith Urban, Rascal Flatts and Brad Paisley.

Officially, there are 109 categories for this year's Grammy Awards, so the list goes on and on and on. If you want the entire breakdown, simply go to Grammy.com. No Kanye, The National, or the Roots for album of the year? Instead we get Katy Perry?

It has surely been a shitty year for music when you look at the song/record of the year noms, I mean the only DECENT song was Use Somebody and that didnt even come out this year!
