I think it would be better if prostitution is legalized and prostitutes go for a regular health check up and a relativly a safe place like regulated whore houses are provided for prostitutes and their Johns. No one can stop prostitution.

And what would you do with all the women who don't qualify under legalization - those with diseases, felony records, drug addicts? Hmmm, let me guess, they'll be street hookers. So, exactly how does legalization take the hooker off the streets?

It doesn't, but I think it will take some off the street, and any future hookers too. I think every 'john' with at least half a brain would choose a regulated whore house than something off the road. Since prostitution is illegal, the only place they CAN get it is off the street. I bet some of the guys you catch are regular law-abiding citizens that succumbed to temptation or are very lonely.
I agree that street solicitation is wrong, but I also agree with Xiber1. No one can stop prostitution.

Really? Then why do the men not choose private escorts and keep their business off the streets and run a much lower risk of being arrested or caught by me? Also, if your theory was true then why does Vegas have one of the highest prostitution arrest rates. Wouldn't these Johns simply drive an hour and go to a legal brothel?
