15e jour (Senshuraku) de l'Haru 1992. Combat déterminant pour l'attribution de la Coupe de l'Empereur. Ozeki Konishiki et Ozeki Kirishima sont à égalité avec 12 victoires chacuns. Le vainqueur de ce combat gagne le tournoi. Victoire par Yoritaoshi de Konishiki sur Kirishima. L'Ozeki originaire d'Hawaii remporte son troisième et dernier Yusho en division Makuuchi.

  • So my opinion is in sumo, weight is not always advantage.

  • Although this big guy Konishiki is 280kg(1kg=2.2pound),

    he could not be yokozuna(grand champ).

    He got championship only 2 or 3times.

    Chiyonofuji was 123kg. But he became yokozuna.

    He got championship 31times. He was stronger than Konishiki.
