There are people who I know who don't eat chicken but they eat beef and vise versa. It could just be simple set of standards she has, like a pro-aves or something like that would be something Sue Ellen would have.
For example; I have friend who refuses to eat cow and therefore avoids all places that serve it, but it doesn't mean she's a vegetarian, she just doesn't eat beef.
And you are right, I forgot that she said that she didn't like chicken in that episode as well.
-
@samusai She previously stated that she hated chicken and I understand how she feels. Then there's this where she is encouraging people to "save the grebes". I guarantee that she is vegetarian rather she is ever going to admit it or not.
-
She's not she's just anti-chicken lickin' since in a previous episode when the Sugar Bowl was going to be sold a new Chicken Lickin' was going to be put in it's place. The episode is called "Sue Ellen Chickens Out".

do they change his voice every series and why are there only series 1-6 in the UK :(

The Poogle is the wrong color originally it was brown. Prunella has a different room didn't her room use to be in the attic?
I like this cartoon. I have Prunella's problem too. It's so bad I had to get self storage. :/
-
you know arthur shouldnt have that poogle because when he bought it in "arthur rides the bandwagon" he tossed it to three babys in a triple buggy

@siumaihargow its easier to laugh at some of the jokes as adults just because theres some humor that kids wont necessarily understand

After watching this, I shredded all my old school notes, quizzes, and exams.

Wow, does it make sense do get all worked up about a cartoon? I was just stating my own opinion.
-
@EmilyA1984 For starters, if Arthur actually aged in time, he would be in his mid-30's (he's been around since the mid 70's) so even when this cartoon started, Arthur would of been in college (or a high school graduate). And the lack of time isn't the only accuate thing. The setting of Elwood City often changes. For example, the flag in Mr. Ratburn's classroom changes every episode (Swedish, Canadian, German, etc.) and then there's anything from Canadian zip codes to U.S. history.
-
@EmilyA1984 I remember her saying she doesn't eat chicken. But I think I've seen her eat sushi and/or fish.

@mjosbronisback It's a cartoon--does it really make sense for aardvarks, rabbits, dogs, cats, monkeys, mooses, rats, and humans to all live together in an anthropomorphized society? No? Well, the animal thing doesn't have to make sense, but the suspension of time does--if Arthur and his friends aged in real time, then the storyline would no longer be relevant to the target audience. Marc Brown wants to keep Arthur as a kids' show, so we should respect that.
-
@krisbudz14 I thought she was--I've never seen her eat meat.
