I cannot imagine playing the Toccata any faster, either! I remember when, in the early 1980s, there was a recording of Mikulka playing this. Your recording here is the only performance I know of to match it! Yours is very much how I imagine Bream might have played it. I wish only that the ambience and recording quality were better.

Will you be posting any more Koshkin on YouTube???

  • Played with balls and conviction. Nice.

  • Genius, what else can be more true!

  • Dear friend,

Next time you make a video, please take a little closer shot. Its such a pleasure listening, will be better if we got to see your fingers move closely :)

    Kudos and Cheers!

  • I really love this song and your interpretation is the BEST i heard so far, the ideea itself scares me but the composition terifies, the birds are falling ! Trully a masterpiece !

  • ...That was the greatest thing I've ever seen and the greatest thing I've ever heard. It sounded like there tubas and pianos and other instruments in there. I shall worship you from now on.

  • Wow after falling in love with the Usher Waltz played by John Williams and hearing this much I love it. Just fantastic, your dynamics are great.
