I imagine this video will be seen as controversial to some people.

Let me be clear. In regards to social ostracism: the principled libertarian knows initiation of force against peaceful people is wrong, regardless of law or votes. But what is initiation of force (in libertarian philosophy)? Initiation of force is theft, destruction of property, violence and arguably fraud.

If one ostracizes and commits "emotional abuse" toward an adult, it's not an initiation of force. It's a legitimate social choice/tool : legitimate free speech. It's the adult's choice on how to react or ignore the individual's words in their own mind. Also if one refuses to offer goods or services to another person, they have a legitimate right to act in this manner. A person does not have a right to another's property.

Obviously this doesn't mean one should ever applaud most forms of discrimination or emotional abuse. However I would say to recognize the legitimacy, power and influence of appropriately used ostracism. And recognize : at maximum the reactions to harsh words should never go beyond harsh words in return; except in rare cases of direct immediate threatening of physical violence combined with clear danger. Also recognize the reactions to discriminatory selling practices should only be at maximum words or reciprocal action of a nonviolent form.
