@niklad1980 i actually kind of prefered MX R to Performance MX, though almost identical - MXR fits my palm better, and i like the "wheel" on the side instead of simple click at PMX.

@orbiter8 well so far its working... I already have MX Revolution on the shelf (doouble click problem), and a free replacement from Logitech - Performance MX which started double click problem now after only a year of use.
I've actually ordered the switcher on ebay at some point for pennies, but i dont have patience to solder... I'll try the liquid for my old MX R mouse.

My document key doesnt work. i will try to open it tomorrow and hope it fixes the problem.
Thank you for this video. Now I know what im getting into before i actually open it.
Great video, Im probably going to do this to my MX Revolution, I stopped using it over a year ago because of the double click. What is the contact cleaner actually? I have no idea what it is and am unsure if it's like WD-40 or something with the likes of that. Would compressed air work as well? Thanks for the video, I would appreciate it if you could help. :)

@CKiezs Hi, The contact cleaner is not just a lubricant like WD-40 I'm afraid. It's a special blend of chemicals which firstly cleans the switches contacts. Then following cleaning it leaves a residue which also lubricates the switch to help prevent any further arcing/burning or sticking of the contacts.
Even since making this video, my MX Revolution has still not suffered a double click, and it's used heavily every day.
Hope this helps

@orbiter8 Alright thanks, do you know where this sort of thing might be found? Radioshack? The Source?

@CKiezs Hi. Any electronics place should have the contact cleaner, I just buy it from Farnell, Digikey or eBay etc.

Try actually blowing with all your might under the button without opening the mouse. It worked for me right now (lets see if it lasts). Compressed air would be a good option as well.

@niklad1980 Hi, It's a good idea my friend, but the problem I think is actually with the switch contacts themselves. Over time the contacts start getting tarnished and perhaps start suffering a little arcing giving the double click effect. So switch cleaner/contact cleaner really helps.
