  • @DragonFarceRock yes, he's magic

  • I agree. you don't use the 24 frets much at all. Just a littleeeeeee. I love playing Joe's style. I am a christian and I love playing this kind of stuff in praise and worship. they didn't know what to think of me at first. The old people thought ugh!! but now they are dancing. I wore them downnnn, LOL... Eddie Knox

  • legend.

  • I must say , he is great but he focusses a lot !!!! interpertations are important

  • @arex82 oh totally disagree that his art is based on his technicality. uh-uh. That was the case I wouldnt like him so much. I have Never heard such MELODY mind blowing beautiful melody coming from such a techinical player. THAT is one thing about him that grabs me so tightly. 'Always with Me Always With You" and "Flying in Blue Dream" so gorgeous!!!! Joe "moves" me way far beyond any just impressionistic techinical quality. He stirs my soul with his gorgeous melodies.

  • @hahn15435

eddie van halen? no, but john petrucci, yes

  • @andr4681

he does use 24th these days. he even talked about that in some videos

  • @andr4681 he actually did release a js with 24 frets and enjoys hitting that high g apparently. I am more of a 22 fret person guy myself as well

  • i could never ever do that even if i practiced forever and never ate and never drank anything lol

  • @arex82 frusciante is a good song writer but his technical skills is not near Satriani's

  • thanks

  • @arex82 you sound like an open minded person so listen to Satriani - Strange Beautiful Music :) This guy is more than just technique. It just occurs while he's playing because he has the level of technique. Listen to Strange Beautiful Music and you might change your mind. Frusciante is another beast :) take care!

  • @arex82 john frusciante is god o.o

  • He is amazing. The only instrument I know scales on is piano, however. On guitar I hear it, rather than know it. But his playing is still AMAZING. Rock solid Joe.

  • @arex82 quite possibly the best youtube comment i've ever read. you're a smart man. although, i will say this.. some like the soft, simple, and slow... Others like the technical, rampent, crazy shit, but to each they're own.

  • joe tought kirk hammet, steve vai and more

  • @clipophile

exept maybe clapton, clapton is like the lion of the jungle

  • I agree.. the unfortunate part is that his art is based on his technicality, he's wired backwards. He has yet to move me the way a guitarist like John Frusciante can - and with far simpler methods, mind you..

He knows that guitar like the back of his hand, but , IMO, doesnt use it to it's full potential. Music is supposed to move us, not just impress us. To me, what he does, is the equivalent of trying to scientifically engineer love.

That being said, thanks for the lesson, Joe xD

  • I think Joe Satriani is one of the best. 5 stars for this video

PLEASE go to my favs and click on SUBURBAN GUY ROCKIN OUT

he doesnt read music, really feels what he plays and improvises his songs as he goes along. the other 2 favs are him also ARIEL (awesome shredding) and ARIEL SIMANTOV (awesome sweeping) pls view comment and rate them as we think he deserves recognition .thanks everyone!

  • I don't think anyone living knows more about music.

  • no...that would fuck up the intonation..?

  • sounds like pacman

  • tilin tilin

  • I went to his concert in new mexico, that's why i love him!

  • cool thanks for the vid!
