This is basics of kung fu. We had to do 30,000 of these in an hour. He is doing them correctly and once you achieve this your combos don't come in 2 or 3, they never stop.

@HDsharp Firstly it's not Wing Chun, it's Serak Silat (spelling might be off, though).
Secondly - and you would know this if you had any Wing Chun experience - a clenched punch is only situationally better than open hand fighting. In most cases you transfer more of your kinetic energy into your opponant with open hand attacks, than with a fist. A fist punch may even damage *your* fist, fx when striking to the head.

@MechPhantom yeah it's a very good way to train. I like to use a metronome to keep a constant beat while I do it so I can make progressive speed increases as my current speed gets easier (the way a drummer builds up hand speed, and some of those guys can do like 1200 beats a minute). That's me though
