Digital Artist John W. Golden walks you through the process of using DG3 Art Gel and silver plated pendant trays to create your own jewelry. John introduces his line of pre-printed graphic sheets in this tutorial. There is even an experiment with glow in the dark Mod Podge™, though the results were not filmable (ambient lighting too low).

DG3 is a new (released 2008) clear glaze from Judikins, the makers of Diamond Glaze.

Pendant Trays, DG3, graphics and more available at http://www.goldensupplyco.com.

  • will diamond glaze yellow? i heard it can. does it always over time?

  • @nico27004 I think you can expect some yellowing Nico.

  • I bought some Judikins Diamond Glaze. Would it be the same as DG3? I guess i am saying can i use it the same way you are using DG3

  • @nico27004 In my experience, Diamond Glaze is not as "dimensional" as DG3. DG3 seems better to create a thicker layer of of glaze.

  • can you use DG3 in molds?

  • @SilverTsukiAngel24 I have not tried DG3 in molds, so I am afraid I can't say :(

  • I would go for Epoxy Stickers!

  • never tride that before looks neat---Michigans State Gem Chlorastrolite is one of the rarest gems in the can be found in Upper MichiganUSA and etsy

  • Have you tried out Mod Podge's Dimensional Magic? I've gotten some very good results with it, but I've never tried resin (although I plan to some time!). Starting the stream on the side is a great tip, I wish I had heard it sooner; it would've saved me the trouble of struggling with pesky bubbles.

  • does it yellow alot?

  • @SilverTsukiAngel24 I have not tried regular printer paper, but I suspect it may not be water resistant and the image may bleed.
