Doesn't matter whether the pylon went down or not, the ball definately crosses the plane. Now, as the player was falling down, did his left hand touch out of bounds prior to the ball crossing? I am a part time referee and can say that it is a legitimate thing that when a players body part (doesn't have to be feet, knee, etc) touch out, the play is dead at the spot. It's in the rule books. From the end zone view, it looked to be good.
