This is me back in 1993 playing my re-arrangement of Claude Dupras' version of the theme to "Back to the Future" by Alan Silvestri -- performed on the Yamaha HX1 Electone at the 1993 Yamaha Electone Festival National Finals, Young People's Theatre in Toronto, Ontario. This performance won the competition and I then went on to compete at the International festival in Singapore later that year.

  • I totally want to hear that arrangement on the Wanamaker organ in Philadelphia.

  • @JHurriKANE4 I'd LOVE to play that organ someday!

  • I FINALLY got the Singapore performance converted and posted:

  • back then, the participants could choose either EL90 or HX1 ?

  • @zzzxtreme in 1993 you could theoretically use any of the HS/HX/EL series. But yes, the finals would be on either EL90 or HX1

  • I like his version much better than Claude Dupras'. Jeff has such mastery over his dynamics, where other electone performers seem to forget to use the swell pedal.

  • Thank you, Doug! I am humbled by your kind words. I'll be posting up more performance videos shortly as I just received a whole bunch of them on a DVD, including my IEF (Singapore) re-arrangement of BTTF...

You damn well better be. Because there are thousands of us out there that recognize exactly what your talent is, and what you can do with it.

If you don't keep it up, we'll be sadly disappointed ;-)
