im saying the youngest age alowwed in the us for combat firefighter, which he said he is, is 18. i know some states allow older, but nfpa or whatever says the youngest can be 18, hes 16

cause for paid dept. for example the FDNY you need to be 21 to be hired and to go to probie school but im 16 and in a volunteer dept as a jr. firefighter the only thing i cant do is interior

there are jr firefighters in volunteer dept. My department allows jr.'s to do everything but enter a structure fire untill it safe

yeah. it has come true buddy. just fought a working house fire today. my company was first due. my engine was first on scene. got off, grabbed a 1 3/4" attack line, ran in, and fought the fire.
