We're actually not sure of the actual origin of this idiom, but we thought that if you imagined cats and dogs falling from the sky, people might get the idea of raining hard. I think your interpretation is also very interesting. :)

  • LOL really? I didn't know cats and dogs were falling from the sky! This is too funny. I thought raining hard was pretty noisy so it was as if cats and dogs fight each other.
