Not enough is written here about Henri DeGlane. Who to this very day is still remember in amatuer wrestling. In fact their is a very prestigous tournament every year.
Henri DeGlane may be the answer to another myth when people say Kurt Angles is the only Gold Medal Olympian to be a world champion in the pro ranks. Henri DeGlane won the Gold Medal in the 1924 Olympics!

Kola Kwariani (aka Nick the Wrestler) was also a chess expert and played chess at the New York Chess & Checker Club (alias The Fleahouse) where he met film director Stanley Kubrick. Kola Kwariani was beaten to death at age 77 on February 1980 by five black teenagers while playing chess at his chess club.
