@schumacherenator The main part of that middle section is a strong thumb. Once you accomplished that, 2nd finger trills will be much easier. My private teacher gave me advice on to practice it. I was told to do the section first with trills only, and move on to other notes after. Very very helpful advice for me.

To anyone who says that the intonation should have been better, HAVE YOU EVER TRIED TO PLAY THIS ETUDE??? This is (at least in my opinion) one of the hardest Popper etudes in the book! Congrats on giving such a fabulous performance and I hope to hear more of you in the future!

My point ! Why only two weeks preparation? I would love to hear Joshua play it at his FULL potential,which IS TOTALLY AMAZING, not just after only a short time... I think there is too much stuff on Youtube that is not good high quality, that's all...
and it just seems so effortless...
