Tribute to Trooper David Shawn Blanton

This is a video I put together in honor of Trooper David Shawn Blanton of the North Carolina Highway Patrol. End of Watch June 17, 2008. God bless you Trooper and may you rest in peace. To G5; brothers, I have never seen such an example of strengh as I did in all of you this weekend. I was glad to be there, and I'm honored to wear the grey uniform with you. God Bless DS Blanton, his family and G5.

I have been to a cop funeral. I never want to attend one again. It is too emotional and sad. But anyone who is a law enforcemnt officer deserves the up mostt respect.

Troopers Blanton and Stocks died HEROES because they were brave enough to don "the shield" that few have the courage to wear EVERY DAY! God bless their souls and bring peace to the "survivors" left behind. Thanks to whomever contributed the video--beautifully put together.

beautiful service. i did not know Mr. Blanton but my prayers are with his family. His wife is 1 tough lady to have lost her husband and son in 4 months. GOD BLESS U AND UR FAMILY...

two years have passed and Shawn is a great and powerful man who everyone wants to look up too. he was a great person and a wonderful father and he is missed very much!!! We love and miss you Shawn Blanton. FOREVER G-540!!!
