why does youtube care -_- I mean...if they chase away all AMV makers we will just put'em up anywhere else...I don't know how to explain, but in the end it's just about that youtube have some strange idea that it shoulden't be AMV's here Oo

I agree with this stand. I think it's ridiculous that AMVs which aren't being used to make profit are lambasted by the owners of the material used. After all, why should AMVs be banned when fan fiction isn't? It's only logical for fan fiction and fan videos to be treated equally, isn't it?

i dont see what the companies are so upset about, were giving them FREE FRICKIN ADVERTISING and they kick us off in return, id get it if we were giving links for people to download the songs illegally but we dont we just give them more publicity so more people buy their songs. were just fans, why would we hurt the profit of our favorite artists?

Removing AMV's kills creativity, and in many cases, promotes the program(s) or song(s).

I watched this and then went to live video to upload my amv's, but I've already been waiting almost 2 days for my videos to get out of the "to be approved" status bullshit, so using live video is an extreme waste of time. I use the site animemusicvideos..

@MiraShio I say we post comments on every AMV we can find and create a facebook group for these people and all at once at a set time and date we send notices about our copyright infringement and say its fair use and youtube we be overwhelmed with the copyright notices their getting saying they were wrong, so suck that youtube!

You got my support,AMVs aren't harmful to anyone.
For AMV creators,it an awesome way to show your friends your favorite shows, movies & music. And its a perfect way to pactice for those who might become animators & stuff like that.
AMVs are good to show people shows, songs & movies they might be interested in.

@MiraShio Fanfiction isn't the same. We don't get banned for it because we're using the characters and portraying them in our own way using words where AMVs deal with the actual footage of the show. It's also why crudely drawn cartoons of Naruto characters are still alive on youtube. Anything having to do with music, video footage, or screen shots pretty much gets thrown out the window, however, writing about it is ok.

"and since we are the fans who paid for their paychecks" do you sincerely think they give any fuck whatsoever ?
-
@dreamingvampire Yeah, now youtube is getting pure nonsense videos.
People falling, fat kid dancing, pure crap, etc
Youtube became famous, because of the AMV and videos of series and stuff like that :D

If parody and doujin still have their place on earth, I don't see why amvs would'nt. It's okay to do amv...the problem actually come when you have to broadcast them. Anyone knows that some anime episode without the rest of the serie is usuless shit that only make you want to watch the anime. I don't even know why some anime companies want amv off the hook that badly. For songs tough it is quite a different story. There should be an internet tax so that copyright is not prob at all.
yeah, forget what i said earlier, on live video it said my amv was deleted by the moderator, wtf?
