TMTV News Nelson BC Canada November 26, 2008 Unedited news footage - Fatal Shooting in Warfield BC The investigation continues into the fatal shooting and homicide of the driver of a vehicle which crashed on Highway 3B early last evening in the small community of Warfield, just west of the Kootenay community of Trail BC. The RCMP say it was a targeted attack and there is no risk to the public. Further information reveals the murder could be drug related

UPDATED INFO: Nov 29, 2008 - TRAIL, B.C. — Trail RCMP say a man will appear in Nelson Provincial Court Monday in connection with an incident where shots were fired in the Kootenay city Wednesday.

Sgt. Rob Hawton says investigators believe the incident is related to a murder that occurred in nearby Warfield the day before.

Hawton did not say what charges the man will face.

Police have identified Tuesday's shooting victim as 39-year-old Santo Vallella.

Investigators believe the incident is related to the drug trade, and confirm the victim is known to them.

RCMP regional commander Nick Romanchuck says another targeted attack occurred in March but that victim survived.
