United Dominion REALITY (UDR) evicts their tenants (1 of 3)

UPDATE! TAYLOR PLACE HAS CHANGED THEIR NAME TO: "THE WHITMORE" United Dominion REALITY is evicting all of their tenants from one of their many properties (Arlington, VA) across the USA. Tenants that are being evicted include the middle class, elderly, disabled, as well as those not so well off. They claim they are renovating EVERY apartment. Those of us still held in this virtual prison are forced (since they wont let us out of our leases) to endure LOUD construction noise. We have been reaching out to local, state, & federal agencies with little progress. Call UDR (or the complex we reside in: Taylor Place) and tell them this is unacceptable at (866) 649-8110 Part 2 of 3:

Agreed! But the way this company handled the situation was not only wrong, but has damaged their reputation in the local rental market. Some of the other apartment rental companies were even embarrassed by UDR's actions.

No offense but why would i spend hundreds of thousands or millions on renovating my apartment complex without kicking out the scumbags. This is stupid. Go somewhere else to live.

This doesn't surprise me after the way UDR handled their video contest. With 20 mins. left they suspended voting, claimed vote fraud (with their OWN flawed voting system) and gave each entry the same payoff amount. The entire contest they refused to adhere to their own rules & were extremely difficult to contact. We regret being even briefly associated with UDR. We are however, extremely proud of our video and believe that had UDR managed their own contest properly, we would have won 1st place.

The tenants of UDR everywhere should speak out about this example and bring this behaviour to the attention of the company's corporate headquarters: UDR, Inc.

It should also be brought to the attention of the company's shareholders. Who wants to invest in a company with such practices? All of the bad PR they are receiving will no doubt result in a devaluation of their stock shares.
