DELTA CLUSTER:

The map consists of 3 indestructible, artificial planetoids. Each of them rotates, and they move around the center of the triangle they form, as well. Tanks can hover around between the planets and use their gravitational fields to land skilled shots with long airtimes.

This is a preview of one of the maps of the level I'm currently working on. The level is called "Planetary Tanks!". 1-4 Players can play against each other. Each player mounts a tank which can charge and shoot bullets. The tanks, bullets and any other objects (such as fragments from planets) will be affected by a custom gravity engine of sorts. Each planet is surrounded by a gravitational field which pulls objects in. There's two main game modes: "Hits" and "Survival". "Hits" scores points for hitting other players, obviously. "Survival" is a fair alternative; the score of all players increases every 0.5 seconds as long as they stay alive. Last one alive wins the battle, plain and simple.

The project is currently in development. It's about 80% done. I've got 10 different maps to choose from at the moment; the final version will feature over 15 and will probably be released somewhere around the end of march.

  • Just noticed; You probably should add some music on the menus. Perhaps some quiet sound? Could be sequencer based as well as long as its simple.

    You might be right on this one. Will try it out. I haven't had a chance to go online last week; I worked 18 hours a day and gladly spent the rest getting myself some sleep - if any at all. I need this week here to rest a bit, but I will come online again next week.

    It was me, and thanks :D This level here will feature over 15 different maps to choose from, and each with its unique properties (size, destructibility, rotation, movement, slipperyness, direction of gravity (pull/push/both), dangerous elements and visual style).

  • OMG CAnt WAIT TO PLAY THIS!!!! Amazing as always Treas :D :D :D You need to teach me how the logic for the gravity works!!!!! >.< its so complicated!!!!

  • It's still looking fabulous! I was hoping youd be online last week but you must have been quite busy. When will you be on next time? I finished the reflect minigame- at least as far as I can go with it thus far. I fixed the problems I refered to last time, but the logic lag and thermo are another story. In addition, I made a level concept that I can't wait to show you. I'm sure you'll like it. :D See you.

  • I think someone else made a level like this during the beta, though it took place on one planet; I think it was someone else, but i could be wrong...
