    defining constants with a preprocessor directive makes a literal string substitution everywhere it sees the string you marked to be susbstituted, before sending your precompiled code to the compiler. it is considered bad programming practice. a const int is 4 bytes on most machines. hardly enough to consider breaking coding standards for.

  • Why you are using const int's, instead of defines? Defines don't take ram, so you can keep your programms minimal.
