A poem written by Natalie Fognani, a woman diagnosed with ALS 4 years ago was turned into a song by Lucas Hoge and Corey Barker. Natalie's last wish was to have her poem put to music and Country Artist Lucas Hoge answered that wish.
This is the video that follows the song, Natalie and Lucas meeting for the first time and their recent journey. Two souls that had never met, created a beautiful song that will be in our hearts forever. Natalie's message is to live life to it's fullest and Lucas performs an amazing vocal in "How Was I To Know".

Natalie, thank you for your inspiring story here and what you CAN STILL DO; write songs! You are an inspiration to us all.

I'll pass along this very special video to my online LYME DISEASE/VECTOR-BORNE COMMUNITY PATIENTS, bitten by TICKS. Your words ring a bell for us all too.

May God bless you both; keep up the good work you 2 ;)

  • I heard this on the Deliah Show. Friends of mine lost another friend unexpectedly a couple of days ago while their families were vacationing together. My own father suffers from a stroke and advanced Parkenson's. This song touched me and I'm sure it will touch others. God bless to you all.

  • I lost my father about 6 months ago to ALS. Such a beautiful song...
