I'm not going to begin a petty flame war with you - which would be a total waste of time. GPO did some fascinating things a good many years down the road. Don't get me wrong, I admire the man. But as for the recent years, all his radicalism and angst seems to have driven him to a dead - and rather sad - end.

"mess of himself" first of all... Genesis is probably a lot more togetHER than you, what the hell have YOU done? its easy to criticize someONE especially for a no-thing. maybe you should try a little subversion of your own archetypes.

Obviously, I have. I have all their studio albums including Journey Through A Body and two of their live ones (Heathen Earth and Mission of Dead Souls). You might be thinking of interacting with the audience through music, which is a given, because the band always does that live. I'm talking about Gen's vocal interactions, such as the one in the vid, which I find entertaining to no end.

Oh how sweet - I got a thumbs down just cuz I said "rock."

MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRREEEEEEEEEE MUSIC!
Wow, if Gen made an entire record consisting of nothing but his interactions with the audience, I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
Seriously, he's probably the most entertaining and intriguing frontman in the history of rock (and I said "rock" instead of "industrial," as his contributions to music and art can be rightfully canonized with the accomplishments of other legendary rock bands).

Gen's voice almost sounds like Davy Jones of the Monkees. :)
