The video shows the way to easily make out of a shaving razor blade, a small switch that can be activated either mechanically or magnetically to be used in coil pulse generator units as a cheap , quick and easy to build substitute of reed switches

  • can u tell me what's that black thing which u melt with fire?

  • @redxz0r

Hi , that's called "heat shrink tubing" , it's a tubing/sleeve that you can use to insulate or protect soldered joints in electronics projects or for any other application were you can use a tubing that will shrink when heated.

  • won't the 2 blades get magnetised and become attracted to each other causing the circuit not to open ?

  • Doesn't happen , to the ones I've made at least.

  • Good tutorial.

Your rotor looks well built, can you do a video of it working?

  • Thanks

I'm working on it i'll be online within some hours ; )

The system is not completed yet but I'll post the work progress anyway

  • Whatever you do, do NOT use your mothers good sewing scissors to cut the razor blade.

  • hi, that great, looking to make a magnet switch for on / off for micro RC sub,

    excellent work,

  • ze zwitch XD

  • Good suggestion, but could you build one and video it for us to provide proof in production of what you propose? I mean this gentleman has "shown us" and you make a great proposal, but I'd like to see the practical production, e.g. demonstrated inventing vs. arm-chair inventing.

  • thats ok but use a stiffer non magnetic material lined with a conductor for the bottom of the switch, then the magnet will pull down the thinner upper part to close the circut without any drag. nice work! bye guys

  • Thank you this helped me soooo much...!
