Marcus Lattimore leads the South Carolina Gamecocks at running back with a tough and determined style of running the ball. The 2010 National Freshman of the Year had 1609 yards rushing and receiving along with 19 touchdowns (a Gamecock single-season record). In 2011, Marcus is on several awards watch lists, including the Doak Walker, Maxwell and Walter Camp awards and is a pre-season All-America selection. Marcus Lattimore is also being discussed as a potential candidate for the Heisman. In addition to his strong performance on the field, Lattimore is a positive leader in the community as well, participating in various youth activities and speaking to groups regularly about his Christian faith.

  • wow what a role model

  • We're happy to have Marcus!!! Very humble player, he executes the play, gets up, tightens his helmet and goes back to the huddle and does it all over again, not to mention the fact that he doesn't tire and he gets better as the game goes on and he can carry the ball as many times as you need him to. Go Gamecocks!!!!!!!!!!!
