Not too shabby a fiddle player I might add. Better than me with all my fingers

  • I miss him.....

  • Wonderful to find them on line... been some time since I saw them. Cathy is really a very important figure in folk music in the Midwest because her years of so many wonderful performances, and because of her introducing probably many thousands of people to the hammer dulcimer too. Dave is also a very accomplished musician, highly skilled and all that good stuff, and the two of them are worth many miles of driving if you get a chance to ever hear them.

    When was this video?

  • love it

  • the girl on the banjo is cathy barton. She is married to Dave Parra and they travel around and teach banjo and do shows. Cathy use to play with Grandpa Jones and Ramona at their supper club before Grandpa died

  • Sorry Wouldn't let me Post! Great Video....The fingerless guitar picker is my hubby, Roy Thackerson from Texas and is aka The Fingerless Fiddler. He has a website and has several videos on You Tube. Brother Oswald and his wife were personal friends of ours. Eunita is in the video; the last person you see at the end. The way music should be; PURE & SIMPLE!

  • Found this

  • Don't remember the name of the guy playing guitar, but I did a show with him and he plays fiddle with his hand turned upside down using just the stub of his fingers. The good part about it is, his tone and accuracy is great. Plays better than some fiddlers I know who play fiddle the conventional way.

  • I cant say how much i like this little song......man Oswald did an amazing job as always and his friends...5 stars
