In the first-ever "YouChat With President Dennison" Webisode, Dennison explains what's happening with campus renovations and welcomes you back to campus.
PS Dennison! You employ more Ph. D.s at hand than anyone in Montana! Some brilliant professors you could consult (my recommendation) are Professor Amanda Dawsey (Economics), Michael Braun (Business), and Tim Manuel (Business Finance). These are my favorite teachers and surely deserve a raise!
No need for additional real estate purchase and would be a real contribution to the student body as a whole (without naming unsaid current projects).
There are many other things I would change, but those are not as necessary as the parking crisis that we having been enduring my entire stay here at the University of Montana.
Sure, I understand this brings in revenue for the University and alternatives are sparse but surely there must be a better way to do this. Raise permit prices to push out those who are not willing to pay a premium to park? (I understand, this would cause chaos) A better solution is to build a large parking garage on the already existing Addams Center parking lot.
walking back to my car five blocks away to find a ticket awaiting me because I have parked a block inside the Special Residence Parking blocks. I think to myself, Isnt this like paying for a season pass to my own school football teams games, showing up, and being turned away because the stadium is full?
Correct me if my estimation is an exaggeration, but I would guess the permit-to-parking-space ratio is roughly 4 or 5:1.
I am a senior who is majoring in business finance at the U of M. Although I will be graduating this December, I feel some aspects of current and future students experiences could be heightened by some simple policy tweaking. Personally I feel the policy I feel needs most reformed is the parking passes that are issued each semester. I could not tell you how many times I drove all around campus, searching every spot, only to find myself ...
Interesting format for the UofM to choose. It will be interesting to see if this campaign is successful. Well produced video, but Dennison could have been a bit more enthusiastic.
It would be interesting to know if the UofM will be filtering the comments and censoring anything that may be anti-university.
So uh seriously...this is happening. You tube used to further UM propaganda.
