I was blown away by this entire movie/soundtrack! The ending was one of the most beautiful and gut-wrencking I have ever seen. Once again Danny Boyle creates a masterpiece regarding the human condition in extreme circumstances. Thanks

I'm kinda down when I realise this is probably one of the best scfi movies ever made...and only a rare few know about it...

“Imagination is more important than knowledge..." - Einstein
I feel the above quote (cut short) explains why people loved or hated certain aspects of this movie. I loved this movie. Sure, there are parts that defy logic and physics but so what? This is a science fiction film, not a science documentary. This film is filled with imagination. Personally, I perceived that he died instantly and the slow-motion part is a "life flashing before your eyes" moment, like embracing the moment in death.

Best scfi hands down. Everyone is right, this movie did not get near the recognition it should have. The only part I didn't appreciate is the "bad guy" near the end. That part seemed a little out of the way for me, but other than that, I highly recommend this movie

I would love to die that way, that has to feel so amazing touching the sun :)

it is so good that i know i'm not the only one who loves this film. Most people i know have never seen it,but it truly is so moving. Every time i watch this i cry,we are made of stardust we are beautiful like the sun. And Sol is only one of the almost infinite stars in our universe. I lose myself in images from the Hubble telescope. It truly is wonderful to live in this age of discovery.....

@shova213 it goes to the deepest bottom of your heart, painful, yet somehow beautiful

super movie
I'm always interpreted this scene in a metaphorically. What we see isn't literally happening in the world of the film, it's more of a way for the film maker to show us something with symbolism etc. The movie has an overall theme about religion/atheism. One interpretation of this scene is capa coming face to face with his creator/god, As a man of science, Capa understands man just comes from stardust. ie his creator is a star/sun.

This scene still affects me as deeply as it did the first time. Capa has come so far, faces his ultimate fear, is beyond all hope of rescue, and it is *beautiful*.
