I used to have this cd when I was younger, really dug the style and his music.

I got to see Vinnie live in Chicago at a smaller club and it was incredible. I've been to a million shows and that one is still in my top three. The guy is truly gifted. He played for probably two hours .... note for note ridiculously clean, endless swept arpeggios, insane picking speed, string skipping madness. VM is a credit to musicians everywhere.

I asked Vinnie at a clinic 20 years ago if he had had specific inspiration for the break down @ 5:50
He said it was night time and snow had just began to fall and he was staring out a bay window.
