Gutter Helmet Sucks...

This is Gutter Helmet NOT WORKING at my house...

This is the underside of my gutter, viewed from the sliding glass doors... The Gutters were replaced and had Gutter Helmet installed to keep leaves and debris out of the gutters...

It also seems to keep the RAIN out of the gutter too...

So - just as a follow up;

1. almost 7 phone calls

2. 4 actual conversations

3. 1 trip of the people to the house

4. 20 minute conversation with the installer/repair

they finally adjusted the top part of the helmet in order for the water to actually go into the gutter...

the problem here, is that the pitch on the roof accelerates the water WAY TOO FAST for the water to use the viscosity principle to get the water to curl into the gutter..Because of the speed, the water travels TANGENT to the CURVE and goes right over the edge.

Moving the edge of the helmet shield to to align closer to the gutter mouth/opening, allows the water to still come off the top of the helmet at its tangent, but it now lines up with the gutter and not past or over the edge of the gutter.

All these half baked Heath Robinson  gutter cleaning systems do nothing but cause frustration and pain to many unfortunate people who place their trust in someone who just rips them off

these covers do not work if you want something that works get leaf solution or gutter glove

Gutter Helmet does work as long as it is properly installed. Check to see how long your local dealer has been instaling them before buying them.That should hold true for any gutter protection product.

I've had Gutter Helmet on my home since 1999 and the system has always worked just fine. Sorry to hear of your situation, but I am completely satisfied.

@TheOldGunslinger They got my dad , swindling bastards told us that the only places we "might see ice and icicles would be where we had them before and from what we described heater cord was UNNECESSARY" .... we had them in one spot before where the gutter needed to be re-spiked.... Now it's a damn wall of icicles end to end. and they want $3000 to install some special heater tape that works with their system!

@HomeProblem Yes, Gutter Helmet pays people here on YouTube to post positive comments about their product, which SUCKS. Gutter Helmets' only goal is to get thousands of dollars out of retired people for a product that DOESN'T WORK.
