Its a famous saying that combine Harvard, MIT and Princeton - then you will get a feel of the level of IIT. It is very economical and students pay only $700 to study the best-in-the-world education. There are 15 IIt in India, the best ones being Mumbai, Delhi, Kharagpur, Chennai, Kanpur and Roorkee.

The biggest Indian hit movie, '3 Idiots', was based on author Chetan Bhagat's experiences in his engineering life at IIT Delhi.

Students all over India start dreaming of IIt when they are 10 and when they finish their 10th class, they join specialized coaching institutes and study for 10 hours everyday (minimum) for next 2-3 years, and then if they do well then some lucky 3000 people are accepted at these top institutes out of almost 200000 plus applicants. • @burnstagger I agree many stuffs are invented by whites but in those days we were fighting the white off our country...But after that we contributed a lot of inventions to the world...Also we are now in the stage b/w developing and developed ...we`ll soon reach to a good position...we are now one of the most powerful country in the world..that`s why west especially america is always accusing china and india...

But we don`t care what you say...

  • They used very greedy, cunning, shitty ways to make the indian people to fight themselves...mean while whites took the precious resources from india to the west...Using these resources west became rich...Now after we fucked the white off our country we build our country from nothing to this far..

  • @daltonagre well this ratio clearly indicates that iit is highly compititive exam. Well i am also an iit student and gone through the iit je exam and i felt its compitition , that`s why i said it is not too easy to qualify.

  • @harsh123385 IIT has 100 persons for each sit, while Harvard has 10 to one sit. I live in Brazil.

  • @typhoonq indians and polish are backward pal, england taught them how to use computers

  • and jee is still one of the most compititive exam worldwide.

  • some of you are very negative towards iits , students from iit are real world beaters, every year they become gold medalists in all pcm international olympiads. foreign companies recruit them for their talent only. whole credit of reputation of iits goes to its alumuni. and even though some of them are working in foreign , still they are contributing to iits as some of infrastructure of iit has a large contribution of their alumuni. some 2 crores of fund is contributed each year by them.

  • @typhoonq There's no brain flight. There's brain's circulation. I live in Brazil.

  • What you really see are Chinese dominant in all these Competitions. It is sad to see the brightest and the smartest ITT graduates work for Top American Companies instead of staying back in India to play catch up with China.

  • Please explain, why ITT and other Top Indian college students fail miserably when competing against other Top college students in International Competition.such as Computing and Programming/ ACM ICPC.

The Results has shown that Chinese, Russian , Polish and American College students are far better than ITT college students.

Similarly, for the past 20 years, we do not see any Indian college win any championship for International Olympiad in Maths, Physics,Chemistry and Biology.
