I was raised in a 'singing family, although in my immediate family, there are no singers. When I was a little guy, 6 yrs old or so, I used to visit my great grandmother in the South, and she would make me stand up and sing this song, because she knew how much I loved the song..and she knew how much i loved Shirley. 1977, I sang it at her funeral...and many, many yrs later, I sang it at a buddy's funeral. I have to say, I sang the snot outta this song, and people were jumpin up like pop tarts.

My mom used to play this all the time when I was little. I have not heard in this in years. I understand it so much now and feel it in my spirit. Thank you for bringing back a special childhood memory.

This Song is dedicated to Mrs. Hattie M. Thomas, Part of My one on one with her was listening to Old School Gospel Music. When this song came on I was hooked. How True this song is. We all have "One More River".
