A Royal Marines Mk7 Lynx From 847 Squadron, Based at RNAS Yeovilton takes off from the helipad at Derriford Hospital after dropping of its casualty that it had just airlifted off Dartmoor. A casualty that was taking part in the Ten Tors Event that was taking place that weekend. The Aircrafts registration is XZ815

  • @djwillz439 Na, Lynx & Gazelles are allowed to land in there because they don't have too much of a downwash from the rotors. If there was multiple casulaties that needed to be airlifted and were in something like a Sea King or Merlin or even Chinook (although i dont think they have EVER been used in Ten Tors, because a Sea King can carry 24 people) although the pad at derriford is big enough them the downwash would be far, far to much to allow them in. they blow the motorcycles everywhere!!
