An in depth look at the Sega Saturn 3D Controller with some gameplay comparisons. I try to highlight some of the overlooked features and show off some of the lesser known titles that support the controller.

Lots of quick cuts and editing in this one because I had the rambling bug more than usual. Enjoy!

  • Im impressed that you were able to maintain a smooth narrative via jump cuts.

  • This controller supports such great Saturn games as Fighters Megamix and Daytona CCE.

  • I really like the design of that thing, it's bizarre, it's interesting, specially because of the "nipple" analog...

  • payed 5 $ for mine how about anyone else here?

  • I'm one of the few (very very few) that prefers the Model 1 controller and 3D controller over the model 2. They are all excellent however, I use the 3D controller for everything because in the games that support it, its the best, especially Quake and Duke3D with the hiddin control mode thats closer to the X360 design (analog to look, face buttons to look, triggers to shoot and use, and directional buttons to change weapons and items)

  • and sooner or later the dreamcast controller would take the shape or a more similar shape 2 this

  • @JoostRevo I looked it up, It came out in '95 or early '96 before the N64

  • @Andthatswhymacssuck If youre talking about the 3d controller then i came out in 96

  • Nice, in-depth review!

  • @wesgrosscustoms Yup, I concur... :)
