"GEORGIAN REPORTER SHOT ON CAMERA" aug. 14, 2008.

A correspondent working for Georgian state television was injured in a shooting incident outside the town of Gori on Thursday.

The reporter was about to go live to air when the shot was fired, slightly injuring her in the left arm. The correspondent and her camerman were forced to run for cover behind a vehicle. The injured reporter was given first aid by a Reuters Televison producer who was nearby.

The incident was a stark reminder of the dangers around the town of Gori where reports have come in over the last few days of looters and armed Ossetian irregulars moving in and out of the area. Russian troops and armour moved in or around at least three Georgian towns on Thursday, ignoring demands by Washington that Moscow respect Georgia's territorial integrity.

The west is playing georgians against the russians in a classic divide and prevail policy. georgians should not get carried away by western media and attack russians and russia should refrain from using excessive force to defend themselves. The west is trying to divide large countries like Russia. western thinking towards russia was bluntly described by Hitler but the west has failed to conceal its real intentions towards Russia despite numerous attempts by its media.
