I have a friend on the drumline, he was telling me that they get new drums every year and then donate the lightly used drums to local high schools.

I dont think they gave the old ones back... they gave the black ones to the MSU alumni drumline.

@ZackaryJim that is not true they did get new drums mid season, they get new drums from yamaha every two years, and they give the old ones back. this was a year that they get new ones, but the order was delayed because they were coustom ordered from japan and got backed up there.
