@jokerwalrusmusic Funny note if you didn't know: Roger originally joined the band (way back when they were the Detours) as lead guitarist, and Pete was rhythm guitarist.

@Tranchera Not quite, putz. Roger formed The Detours and he was their guitarist. Pete was not part of the group yet. The entire band , including Daltrey, realized he sucked wind on the guitar. They also knew he barely passed as a vocalist, but that is another story. They found Pete, and Pete became the sole guitar player. Roger became a vocalist only at this point. he was later fired as vocalist, but quickly reinstated after Can't Explain hit the charts.

@dmf3367 As far as I know, putz, there was a short period (and I mean short) where there were five members of the band, which included Pete on rhythm and Roger as lead. That's what I've read on pretty much every site on the internet, and I'm pretty sure it was mentioned in either Amazing Journey or Kids Are Alright (probably the former). Sorry if I'm wrong.
Of course, my comment was only related to Roger playing guitar so I didn't mention him getting fired, which I knew. But whatever.
