Mt. Gilead engine 214 was dispatched to a tree in the roadway with power lines down. after clearing the roadway we had to wait for the power company to arrive to determine if the line was alive which it wasnt so all units cleared. again this was due to a line of severe thunder storms that passed through the area that night.

  • The operators of all such vehicles so equipped are hereby authorized to use such equipment at all times while engaged in the performance of their duties and services, both within their respective corporate limits and beyond.

In addition to the use of special equipment authorized and "required by this subsection", the chief and assistant chiefs of any police department or of any fire department, whether the same be municipal or rural, paid or voluntary, county fire marshals, ... no need to go on

  • @ebowling43 at discretion not mandatory ....

  • @gsarjos North Carolina General Statutes § 20-125 Horns and warning devices... Please research for yourself!

  • @ebowling43 Please by all means enlighten the rest if us here about the law in NC, Been working for the NTSB Emergency Response laws/regulations for 15 years... let me save you the trouble, It's called "discretionary" not mandatory when any emergency vehicle is responding to use any form of audible device

  • @nattherat89 Apparently your not smart enough to realize that is the law in NC!!!

  • @ebowling43 Your a bloody idiot no need to use the siren of a night time with no traffic unless its at red lights

  • True, it also looks very late night early morning. Its a tree down in the road, this engine co. isnt going to risk life or limb for this, Risk alot to save alot-Risk a little to save a little. therefor this is the officers chioce for the siren usage. Why would you want to wake alot of people for a bs run, he used it at the intersections where it was needed so why does it matter so much?

  • they dont need to use the siren that much theirs nobody out just at red lights

  • All it would take is one person to pull out in front of them from a side street and this video is incriminating. Very limited use of the siren.
