First stage is a short booster made with stinger tooling. Stage 2 is a long-winded screamer made on a universal hybrid rocket spindle. A short paper collar loosely holds the booster in place.

  • Wow that's awesome :D

Notice the sonic blast when stage 2 started :)

I've never seen rockets like this by now - thank you :)

  • @smoothstar110 You're welcome!

  • Holy crap what a speed it got when the stage changed, im also wondering about the method of passing fire to the upper motor? will you share your secret?;)

  • @skyisthelimitinc This is for both you and pyrozmuro, you both asked the same question, sort of - I will run out of room trying to describe it here, so I will make a short video of what I do (it's not my idea). I will put this up here when I can, I'm getting over the flu right now and I can't think straight... but basically it's a short paper tube glued to stage 2, that just barely holds stage 1 in place while on the launchpad. A bit of fine BP transfers the fire up to stage 2... more to come!

  • Those are really great in person too!!! Weekend actually turned out great. Loved the rockets.

  • @Booger6995 Thanks Ron, sorry we didn't get to chat this time - I hope to see you in May

  • Die ist zum Mond geflogen^^

  • @vela1492 Yep. It was a rather busy weekend. Between the tall cow peeing on a flat rock rain and the field conditions I was really amazed at how well it turned out. I spent a good part cleaning up and drying out. Helped some on Bixlers show mostly e-matching shells and hooking up a few pods. Hope to see you in May as well. L8R Ron

  • @vela1492 Sounds great mate, looking forward!

  • Excellent rockets man, how do you transfer ignition to the second stage so that second motor doesn't blow up?
