@LukeEvans26 the small rectangular screens are for ACARS - which is like text messages sent to the pilots.

@pownedbyeass i don't think you're a pilot if you don't even know flaps are down certain degrees on takeoff depending on the weight of the aircraft and the runway condition.
Also, if you are a pilot I expect your English to be a little better than what I just read.
You, come across very believable, my friend.

@chalaska123 are you a pilot?
-

@miamicanesfan01 the do use hand controls, but instead of a yoke between your legs its a sidestick off to the left if your the captain and to the right if your the FO

Because some flights are so long that we need 3 pilots to fly the aircraft to ensure we can rest during the flight. At takeoff or landing everybody is in the flight deck. that's why..

what's your position in the cockpit? are you the flight engineer?

Hello sorry for my late response,
But no there is no flight engineer position on the A330.
Flight engineers are more of a thing from the past.
The A330 has very sophisticated computers witch monitor nearly
all parameters of the aircraft. Whenever the warning system detects
an abnormality it will sent us an ecam message, either an "master caution"
or a "master warning" depending on the severity.

On long flights where the maximum working period is exceeded we fly the trip
With tree pilots. So we can rotate positions a take the a rest.
@ tom888uk
The requirement of a flight engineer has more to do with the capability of the aircraft to detect malfunctions than it has to do with the flight instruments
Regards.
