You Canon guys are in your own little world. Don't get me wrong, Canon produces great cameras, and I have and use a 40D, but if your going to showoff your fps my D3 smokes it.

the D3 costs 6 times as much as the 40D its not in the same league. why not compare it to the 1Dsmk3 or the 1Dmk3

D300 costs double the price of the 40D, if thats your logic why not compare the D300 to the 5D for IQ or the 1dsmk3 for sports shooting. the D300 can't match the 40D in 14bit A/D mode what is it 2.5fps. please, the D300 will not produce images that are worth double the cost compared to the 40D. the grips are crap they feel pants.

I'm thinking of selling my brand new 550d + kit lens to buy a 40d + an L lens or a few lenses, do you think this is a good idea? The 550d feels too plastic-y and small for me, and i have no real need for HD video.. do you think its a good idea?? Thanks :)

@brickit26 What a stupid thing to say. Seems like you are in your own little world. You don't even know what price range the 40D is in, as opposed to the D3. Why are you even holding a D3 when you don't know such basic information?

my 30d is faster than that. the guy is using a very slow shutter speed. besides, canons are the best!!! and brickit26, the 1d mkiv is faster and better than the d3s, in every single way, despite the higher noise level, which, i have to admit, puts the nikon a slight edge above the canon, but noise levels appart, forgetit! got it???
