  • 17harveyroad - thank you for your comment! Yes I remember the name jack Clarke former BM unfortunately not with us anymore but 2 of his grandchildren play in the band. That indeed was Cyril swansbury carrying the flag unfortunately Cyril was promoted to glory last year. Can I take your name and address as next year is the bands 125th year and we are having a reunion - send it to frasergmsmith999@yahoo.co.uk I'm sure we've got your name already but please send it to me

  • Amazing the the middle man in the last row wear the old generation of the uniform, any special reasons for that?

    Bryan (SA Hong Kong)

  • Yeah he's a student in Scotland, Govan Corps and they still wear high colour tunics, He was brought up at Winton and was home for that particular weekend.

  • Just got further into the video and heard The Red Shield. Whilst this is allegedly Enfield's march no band plays it quite like Winton band!!

  • Thank you!!! I think your right! Can i ask who you are? a few bandsmen may know who you are - regards

  • Wow! Came across this video by accident. I last 'marched' along these roads early 1971 playing euph with Jack Clarke, before moving overseas. I can recognise some of the 'older' players. I believe that is Cyril Swansbury carrying the flag.

  • and how many were saved?

  • Thank you for bringing much blessing to me. I'm stuck in the USA because of the Volcano and needed a lift! Great to hear Montreal Citadel. I remember playing this many times while marching down Wood Green High Road! Keep up the good work
