Radiohead-Fake Plastic Trees

take the oddity of synthesising a material to make an ugly copy of something which is naturally abundant (the tree); and use that device as a criticism of your own character, and then i think we have a reflection of what this song is about. i cant figure a more simple way to make the explanation, but i'm sure someone will quickly sum that up better, in only two or three words!

I think it's about the vanity of this world. How people can be so "fake" and "plastic" because they are obsessed with appearing perfect for everyone to see.
