Thank you for taking in this dog..I am happy to hear that she has somewhat settled down. I have a two year old rescue shih-tzu...She has the sweetest disposition...Loves toddlers...wants to jump on them and lick them...not a mean bone in her body....

@ForTheLoveOfAnimals2 I agree. Annie was raised by my aunt and uncle, who left her to my Dad when they passed away. Within the first week of her living here, she'd bitten two of us enough to draw blood. I didn't know my aunt and uncle but we suspect Annie didn't have the greatest upbringing, judging by this and her other behaviors (someone unfolded a newspaper and she hid for an hour :( ) She's 8 now and is a little better mannered now, but it's been difficult to undo the first 6 years.

@ForTheLoveOfAnimals2 the point is, you don't need to train a dog to not be aggressive if there is no threat. You might want to though, otherwise they can get kinda bratty. Of course, when you love your baby, he or she can do no wrong :)

Hahahah omg!
My dog reacts the same way when he knows he has done something wrong,or is in trouble. His eyes widen,and he just stares up at me with those big eyes...growling.
And I can't help but chuckle cause its so cute...which makes me feel bad for punishing him..haha
