It is to protect rights that governments are instituted among men. So, the government installs the police and the judicial system to protect the right to life liberty and property. In a just society no one has a valid moral claim or right to someone else's property even if you are deserving or needy. That is why we need voluntary charity and true love of our fellow man.

Have you ever tried to use government services?? The DMV, IRS, TSA ... all fine examples of socialist policies done right. You think the police work efficiently? If you want a service you should have to pay for it, I don't care what service it is. God gives you the right of free will, freedom, and air. You're on your own for the rest, so quit looking to me and my hardworking coworkers for handouts ya moron.

Wow all these people against the "evil" socialist agenda... wake up people your Police, Library, Fire Department... are all under a "socialist" government control and guess what they ALL WORK, so why wouldn't health care? If your so against it then why not pay for the police or to "rent" a book from the library... better yet imagine before calling the police you have to call your insurance company FIRST to make sure your covered and then possibly having to pay a deductible after their service.
