TSA's airport security body scans spur US 'airport rage'

Full body scanners and enhanced pat downs in private rooms are fueling anger among air travelers in the US. The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) is coming in for severe criticism while passengers are planning a boycott of the scans on Nov. 24 - traditionally the busiest travel day of the year.

Fact:

1. No terrorist has ever been caught by TSA within the borders of the U.S. through security checkpoints.

2. TSA does not currently adequately inspect cargo also shipped on commercial airlines.

3. TSA does not adequately screen its own employees, and at least in my home airport, a large percentage of the agents themselves are from countries we know have produced terrorists.

3. The Constitution demands that our right travel between States not be infringed.

4.-4th and 5th Amendments?

You are certainly entitled to your opinion. Personally, I do not equate walking through security with handing over my liberty. Your extremist view is not conducive to productive and intelligent dialogue. If a law enforcement official pulls you over and asks you for your license and registration, using your same argument, then if you provided those requested documents then you were handing over your liberty. If you are not willing to do that then simply dont drive and dont fly.

The funny and sad thing is, you don't realize you are the "cry baby". Real men stand up for what is right. You are scared and are willing to hand over your liberty for security. Its that simple. You deserve neither.

Yes, I think the previous security(pre-911) was apt. If you think the current security is just, needed, or effective, you live in a fantasy world.

Wah wah wah. We have become a nation of cry babies. If you don't like TSA then don't fly commercial. There are plenty of private pilots who will gladly fly you anywhere you'd like for a nominal fee. Yes, it will be more expensive than flying commerical but you will not have to worry about your so-called rights being violated. As expressed earlier, our system is not perfect and should be improved. However, how less comfortable would you feel if there was zero zilch screening on your plane?

An organization or even a facebook page protesting this issue needs to happen. Everyone who joins contacts the government officals in their state, respectively. If you don't exercise your freedom muscle (your mouth) it will grow weak. If enough people are contacting their senators, governors, mayors and other public officals,something will be done. You would be surprized what applying a little bit of pressure can do. Maybe I am old fashion but I believe in democracy.

(cont'd) But that does not mean that TSA is not providing a useful service. Secondly, stop crying "wolf" whenever TSA pats down a child. Way too many videos here of parents or adults alleging that TSA molested their child when there is no evidence in the video to suggest that sort of thing.  The agents (that Ive seen) explain to parent and child in public setting exactly what they will do and what they are doing while wearing gloves. By and large, very professional. So let's be fair.
